The idea of doubling a penny on itself everyday for a month reaps over one million dollars. 1 + 1 = 2 + 2 = 4 + 4 = 8 + 8 = 16 +16 etc. Chain letters and most multilevel marketing companies start with one position on top and two legs under it. With this concept in mind, I wanted to see what 2 to the power of 13 looked like from an artistic standpoint. I started working in an 8 1/4" X 5 3/4" sized sketch book using colored felt tips. Each new multiple was another color. First Attempts: Once I found the formula for equal distribution I started working with higher powers (no pun.)
